Brief: Design a hero prop(s) from the book The Time Machine by H.G. Wells. Chosen prop: The Time Machine
The intention of this project was to realise the authors words on screen as if the book were being adapted for a film or television series. Victorian, steam-punk and retro-futurism inspired the design of the machine itself. I took elements from the relevant art movements of the time period – Arts and Crafts movement, Art Nouveau.

The Time Machine is set in the 1800s, The Time Traveller debuts his machine at dinner to his colleagues then propels himself 800,000 years into the future into the time of the Eloi and the Morlock.
